In this epic voyage in about 7 hours we will visit the places to which Peter the Great devoted his whole life. In Peterhof, we will stroll through the parks, refresh ourselves at the fountains, laugh and sigh at the local gold glittering beauties and delights.

In Kronstadt we will get close to the forts, built in the middle of the Gulf of Finland, disembark and walk around the city Kronstadt. We will try to feel the local flavor and learn how important this unique city on the island was for the Russian history.

Instead of disembarking at the fort, we can disembark in Kronstadt and stroll through its iconic places. We're in the Summer Garden now. There is such a pretty pond here, which is not a pond at all – in fact, the water was drained here when the ship entered the dry dock for repairs.

In this thought-out seven-hour voyage (a little longer for bigger yachts) we will see the most beautiful imperial residence — Peterhof, and the impregnable citadel of the Baltic Fleet — the city of Kronstadt.

In general, it is two voyages in one: Voyage to Peterhof and Voyage to the forts of Kronstadt

We will get to the summer imperial residence with a breeze. If we go by boat, it will take us about 50 minutes, and if we go by yacht, it will take us about 1.5-2 hours. Yachts don't race, you know. Not their style.

The voyage promises to be interesting, because on the way you will be accompanied by our couragier (that is our way of saying "guide"), who will tell you tales of the construction of this residence: from the laying of the first stone, to the launch of fountains, and subsequent rebuilds.

The trip is very eventful, so we recommend you to take something to eat. We will have a break before we leave Peterhof.

Peterhof is very closely connected with the water element, and the Kronstadt fortress is built entirely for the needs of the fleet.

Peter the Great originally chose the place for Peterhof so that water could be brought to it and the fountains would flow by themselves, without outside help. The Tsar built his summer "house by the sea" Monplaisir right on the shore of the Gulf of Finland with the expectation that Kronstadt would be visible from there. Most of the building materials were delivered to Peterhof by water, even the earth for the soil was delivered by barges to substitute local clay. The first guests, by the way, also arrived at the fountain residence by boat!

When we finish with Peterhof - we will return to the pier, get aboard, and head towards the sparkling gold dome of the Naval Cathedral, to Kronstadt. In about half an hour we will already be there (it takes us about an hour on leisurely yachts) — in the cradle of Russian seamanship. Here you will learn how the first forts appeared and what obstacles had to be overcome during their construction. Only when approaching Kronstadt from the water you can understand the scope of fortification thought behind this engineering miracle. We will pass close to the forts, see the dam wall, and take a walk in Kronstadt. We will walk along the streets of Kronstadt, past the ship factory and cadet corps, we will reach the Anchor Square and the Naval Cathedral, pay our respects to Admiral Makarov, go to the Naval Cathedral, see it in detail, and set off on our way back.

The way back will take us about an hour, in 60 minutes we will already be in the St.Petersburg. Very quick and convenient.

Petrovsky's "Palace by the Sea". The emperor's dream come true, fulfilled in his characteristic laconic and modest sophistication.

 

The Grand Cascade

The main fountain complex of Peterhof. This marble staircase, framed by golden sculptures and gushing fountains, is always the center of attention.

 

The Hermitage Pavilion

The first Hermitage pavilion in Russia, where you could eat alone without fear of prying ears and eyes.

We turn on the first space speed and famously get to Kronstadt.

 

Forts of Kronstadt

Kronstadt is surrounded from the North and from the South by forts sticking straight out of the water. They were built to protect the capital of that time, St. Petersburg. Now the forts find a different purpose. Which one? We'll find out!

 

Fort "Count Milutin"

Also known as "Southern Battery No. 3," it was built from 1865 to 1879. The fort was won at auction by some great enthusiasts who are now restoring its historical appearance.

 

Dam

A gigantic structure from one shore of the Gulf of Finland to the other. The second part of the dam (the one that lets ships through, which we'll see up close) was only completed in 2011. It protects St. Petersburg from floods. If only everything were built so well!

 

Fort "Alexander I"

The Russian "Fort Boyard." A grim-looking fortress, one of a series of Southern Kronstadt forts. After "Alexander I" became technically obsolete for defense, they developed a plague vaccine here.

 

Fort "Peter I"

One of the formidable forts protecting the Southern shipping channel.

 

Walking around Kronstadt

We walk around the city, looking at the Winter Wharf where Baltic Fleet vessels are based. We visit the Naval Cathedral - Kronstadt's central attraction. We also reach Peter's Dock - a unique structure completed in 1752 for repairing several ships at once.

A building constructed on the outskirts of the city right in the water. This was where gunpowder was stored.

How many days in advance should one book a voyage?
On weekends and holidays, demand is especially high, so we recommend booking your voyage in advance to ensure your preferred option is available for your desired time and date.

If you have a corporate event or a large party, it's best to book it a month or more in advance. If you are planning a simple outing, book as soon as you think of it. The closer to the date, the fewer the options available.

How to book a voyage?
Voyages can be booked online directly on the website!
Choose the voyage you are interested in and then scroll down the page, choosing from the boats and yachts you like. Then enter your data and leave a deposit. Voyage is booked!

What is required to make a booking?
