Experience the most spectacular fireworks show of the year – the Scarlet Sails Fireworks. We'll enjoy the display from the water, marvel at the pyrotechnics, and, with a bit of luck, catch a glimpse of the iconic Scarlet Sails.

Scarlet Sails (fireworks)

Each year, the Scarlet Sails, a celebration for graduates, takes place. This event is intimately connected to the water, as its highlight involves a sailing ship with scarlet sails gliding into the Neva's waters – a spectacle you're likely already familiar with.

Unfortunately, us old folks aren't permitted into the concert on Palace Square. However, we've decided to create our own experience: we'll board a boat and cruise along the Neva in anticipation of the fireworks. The fireworks are set to start at 0:40 and will last, so we need to be positioned under one of the bridges by then.

While we'll be observing this enchanting display from a distance due to close-up filming by TV crews, we'll still get our share of the celebration! The fireworks will illuminate the night sky for about 20 minutes. After that, along with numerous other boats surrounding us, we'll embark on a leisurely cruise toward our home dock.
